BIOGRAPHY
Aly Lloyd (b. 1990) is a British artist living and working between London and South West England. Her work examines interplays between geometric abstraction, structural forms, and organic, free-flowing shapes, creating compositions that challenge visual perceptions. Known for her meticulous approach to painting, she blends digital precision with the tactile nature of paint, merging digital image processing techniques and computational manipulations with traditional painting methods. Through this fusion, Lloyd intentionally challenges conventional boundaries between the virtual and physical, pushing the limits of realism and abstraction. Whilst her compositions are meticulously crafted by hand, this interplay keeps the viewer questioning whether they are experiencing something digitally produced or traditionally made, challenging definitions of both.
